Vivienne is a senior research fellow, registered psychologist, consultant and lecturer/tutor in disability at the Centre for Disability Studies at the University of Sydney’s School of Medicine — Faculty of Medicine and Health.

Her research interests and expertise include employment and transition from school to post school for people with disability, assessment and classification of support needs, mental and emotional health and well-being, person-centred active support, positive behaviour support, social and interpersonal skills, community living and quality of life.

Vivienne is a Fellow of the Australasian Society for Intellectual Disability (FASID). She was inducted into the Disability Employment Australia Hall of Fame in 2013 and was recently awarded the 2022 Lien Ying Chow Visiting Professorship at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
