JobAccess and Inclusive Employment Australia working together to support clients

JobAccess is the Australian Government’s one-stop service for disability employment support. The program provides practical, free assistance to job seekers with disability, employers, and service providers to remove employment barriers. This session, co-presented by Georgia Miller, National Manager – JobAccess and Karla Fernee Manager of the National Disability Recruitment Coordinator team (NDRC), will explore how the NDRC, works alongside providers to improve employer confidence and build inclusive recruitment practices.  

The session will also explore effective ways to implement reasonable adjustments and workplace modifications in practice, and it will showcase the variety of resources offered by JobAccess to help providers, while demonstrating how to utilise these tools to better support clients and foster stronger engagement with employers.

Karla is a commercially astute leader with over 20 years’ experience driving success across human services, disability, manufacturing, and healthcare. Known for a deep commitment to inclusivity, she brings a proven track record in project management and a passion for empowering individuals of all backgrounds and abilities.

Since 2016, she has managed the NDRC, the employer engagement program at JobAccess, strategically leading impactful stakeholder engagement and forging key partnerships to advance disability-inclusive employment.

Her expertise in human resources, project management, and diversity, equity and inclusion enable her to cultivate thriving, equitable teams.

Karla is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration to leverage her skills for future impactful endeavours.

Georgia Miller

Georgia Miller

National Manager, JobAccess

Georgia Miller has over 15 years’ experience in occupational rehabilitation and disability employment services. With a background as a qualified occupational therapist, she has built a strong clinical foundation to help people with disability achieve their vocational goals. Georgia advanced into leadership roles, supporting clinical teams to provide effective occupational rehabilitation services. She applies her clinical and management background as the Advisory and Employment Assistance Fund Manager at JobAccess. JobAccess is the national hub of workplace and employment information for people with disability, employers and service providers. Georgia is now the National Manager of this award-winning program.
