Registration

After close consultation with our conference organiser and the DEA Board, we’ve made the difficult yet prudent decision to postpone the DEA national conference that was scheduled for 6-8 September in Sydney.

We recognise the situation in various states, dealing with an escalation of the COVID-19 outbreak. The health and safety of the community is of utmost importance. 

DEA can confirm that our conference will be held early next year, 28 February to 2 March at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney!

Expect stimulating and challenging presentations, panels and breakout sessions, with exhibitors and event partners to support your organisation.  

We are disappointed that we had to reschedule our conference. As you know, the DEA conference brings the disability employment sector together for thought-provoking, solutions-based discussions, constructive networking, recognition of best practice and catching up with each other, face to face.

Your registration will automatically be applied to our rescheduled conference. Your registration payment will be refunded if you are unable to attend our rescheduled conference.

In recognition of higher costs for people with disability to attend events and conferences, Disability Employment Australia will support the participation of people with disability by providing discounted rates to the conference.

We are unable to offer discounted registration to staff and/or board members of government-funded and contracted employment service organisations or government staff. Information regarding eligibility criteria and discounted rates is available here.

Please note: organisations must be current members of Disability Employment Australia at the time of the conference in order to qualify for member registration rates.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be advised in writing to events@conferenceworks.com.au. Registrations may be transferred to another guest at any time by contacting Conference Works.

Registration cancellations

  • Cancellations received by Friday 9 July 2021: full refund
  • Cancellations received between 10 July and 6 August 2021: $150 cancellation fee
  • Cancellations received from 7 August 2021: no refund applicable

Social function cancellations only

  • Cancellations received by Friday 9 July 2021: full refund
  • Cancellations received between 10 July and 6 August 2021: 50% refund
  • Cancellations received from 7 August 2021: no refund applicable
  • If cancellation includes the conference registration, then the general conference cancellation policy will apply

COVID-safe plan and booking with confidence

Disability Employment Australia’s 2021 Conference will be fully COVID-safe and compliant with government health requirements. We will do everything we reasonably can to protect your health and safety, and that of all attendees. This will include appropriate social distancing and all other required measures.

COVID cancellation: if the event is cancelled, or has to be moved due to COVID issues, we will offer a full refund. It is in everyone’s interest to ensure anyone who feels unwell stays away from events, so we will offer you a full cancel-on-the-day refund if you are showing any COVID-like symptoms, with no questions asked.

Photography Policy

Photographs will be taken throughout this event for advertising, publicity, commercial, promotional or other internal or external business purposes. If you do not wish for your photo to be taken please contact the event office – meaghan@conferenceworks.com.au

Insurance

Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Delegate registration fees do not provide such insurance coverage. Neither Disability Employment Australia nor Conference Works accept responsibility for any loss in this regard.

Dress Code

Please note: smart casual attire is appropriate for conference sessions and social functions. A jacket may be necessary for air conditioned meeting rooms.

Name Badges

All delegates will receive a name badge upon arrival at the conference. This badge is the official pass and must be worn at all times to gain entry to conference sessions and social functions.
