The Power of Business Intelligence in Employment Services
Business intelligence (BI) involves technological processes for collecting, managing, and analyzing data to yield insights that inform decisions. Employment services providers leverage tools such as Power BI to transform vast arrays of data into user-friendly dashboards. This evolution is driven by changing stakeholder expectations, program modifications, and the need for more accessible and powerful information.
BI reporting is instrumental in monitoring provider performance and compliance metrics, ensuring high-quality service delivery and identification of areas for improvement. BI tools help manage revenue earnings across the service delivery value chain, enabling more informed financial decisions and workforce planning.
CVGT Employment, in collaboration with Prospert, embarked on a data-driven journey to enhance performance and service delivery across its government contracts, including Workforce Australia Services and Disability Employment Services (DES). Previously, CVGT faced challenges with disparate data sources and manual processes, leading to inconsistencies and inefficiencies.
By adopting Power BI, CVGT transitioned from static spreadsheets to dynamic, real-time data insights. This shift enabled significant improvements in operational efficiency and service quality. The inclusive approach, involving perspectives from executive leadership to site managers, ensured that data insights were relevant and actionable at every level.
The implementation of Power BI enabled managers to focus on strategy and service improvement and performance coaching by providing real-time data for timely interventions. Learn how they embarked on this journey and the lessons learnt along the way.
