Unlocking Potential: Empowering Participants and Employers

The Disability Trust promotes inclusive workplaces by educating employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities. This session will showcase successful examples of training, support, and resources that have enabled employers to become disability-confident and customise jobs, ensuring all employees feel valued.

The Disability Trust’s expert staff effectively breaks down barriers and misconceptions, highlighting the advantages of hiring people with disabilities and encouraging more employers to embrace inclusivity. The session will also present case studies on transitioning individuals from NDIS-funded supports to open employment, focusing on enhancing confidence, skills, and work experience for both employers and employees.

Through personalised assistance and customised support systems, The Disability Trust helps individuals define and achieve their employment goals. Educating employers and supporting individuals with disabilities in open employment are essential steps toward fostering a more diverse and equitable workforce.
