Dr Elaine Nash

Flinders University & Swinburne University

Elaine has a background in social work, having graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of South Australia (UniSA) in 1991. With over 30 years of experience in human services, she has spent more than 20 years in operational and strategic leadership and management roles, primarily in the disability sector. Over the years, Elaine’s interest has evolved toward exploring how innovative business models can address social issues. To pursue this interest, she earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2016 and completed her PhD in 2025. Her PhD research focuses on helping organisations enhance employment opportunities and outcomes for people with disabilities, while also realising significant benefits. She is currently working with Flinders University and Swinburne University.
