Dr Simone Casey is the Principal Research Fellow, Evidence at the Centre for Inclusive Employment, at the Centre for Social Impact Swinburne (CSI Swinburne).

Simone previously held a variety of roles in policy advocacy, research and communications in the employment services, community services and welfare sectors in Australia and the UK. Simone was a policy advisor at the employment services peak body Jobs Australia between 2004-2018, and worked closely with the disability employment services sector there and in roles supporting other organisations with tenders, grant writing and strategic development.

Simone holds a PhD in employment services with a perspective informed by lived experience and is interested in the intertwinement of marketisation, welfare conditionality, unemployment and the integrity of social security administration.
