Dan Gavin
Dan Gavin is the National Manager – Disability Employment at genU Training, where he leads sector-informed training initiatives designed to strengthen workforce capability and improve employment outcomes for people with disability. With more than two decades’ experience in operational leadership, project management and strategy, Dan has worked across customer experience, workforce development and disability employment, bringing a practical lens to the design and implementation of contemporary service models.
Dan has led the development of co-designed, industry-endorsed microcredentials across Disability Employment Fundamentals, NDIS Employment Support Fundamentals and Fundamentals for Inclusive Employment. His work brings together providers, sector leaders and people with lived experience to build training that is practical, consistent and grounded in what works for frontline practice.
At the DEA Conference, Dan will present the launch of Fundamentals for Jobseekers, a guided and AI-supported course designed to help jobseekers and their Employment Consultant or Job Coach work together through the Explore stage. The program supports structured conversations about interests, strengths, support needs, career themes and success planning, helping jobseekers move from uncertainty toward a clearer, documented career direction.
Dan is passionate about professionalising the disability employment workforce and creating accessible tools that support better engagement, stronger provider practice and more meaningful, sustainable employment outcomes.
